Radio-Immunotherapy, Localized
Lutetium-177 (Lu-177) is a beta-emitting radioisotope already used in systemic radioligand therapy. Our program is investigating its intratumoral delivery within the UMIPIC self-nano carrier system.
Rather than relying on systemic circulation to reach the tumor, the self-nano depot keeps Lu-177 concentrated at the injection site — delivering localized radiation while the UMIPIC formulation simultaneously triggers immunogenic cell death and the systemic abscopal response.
The goal is a combined radio-immunotherapy approach: local radionuclide ablation paired with the platform's demonstrated ability to activate immune-mediated cancer interception at distant sites.
